Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked if available
Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp honey

  • shredded cheddar cheese for melting on top
  • caramelized onions optional
  • dried parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp of butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 5–6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and honey. Stir and deglaze the pan.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, spooning sauce over chicken.
  7. Optionally, top with shredded cheese and caramelized onions. Cover until cheese melts.
  8. Garnish with dried parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or Texas toast to soak up the rich buttery sauce. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
