  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey Can be substituted with chicken, pork, or a plant-based option.
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning Store-bought or homemade works great!
  • 8 pieces Tortillas Flour or corn tortillas are perfect for wrapping.
Toppings
  • 1 cup Lettuce Any leafy greens can be used.
  • 1 medium Tomato Cherry tomatoes can be a substitute.
  • 1 medium Avocado or guacamole Adds creaminess.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Use your favorite cheese—cheddar or Mexican blend.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt is a healthier alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Salsa or pico de gallo For that zesty kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add your ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Sprinkle in your taco seasoning and stir to combine. Add a splash of water if needed, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
  3. While the meat cooks, warm your tortillas on a dry skillet or in the microwave until soft and pliable.
Assembly
  1. Start with a layer of the seasoned meat on each tortilla.
  2. Add your desired toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado/guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.
Serving
  1. Fold the tortillas in half and dig in while they’re warm. Enjoy the explosion of flavors and textures!

Notes

Use leftover rotisserie chicken to make this recipe even quicker. Chopping veggies in advance also helps with prep time. Consider using a taco holder for easier assembly.
