Ingredients

  • 1 cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/4 cup Rolled Oats (quick or old-fashioned)
  • 1/2 cup Milk (almond, dairy, or your preferred milk)
  • 1/4 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey, agave, to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2-3 Ice Cubes (optional, for extra thickness)

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Combine Ingredients
  1. Add the frozen strawberries, rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract into your blender.
  2. If desired, add 2-3 ice cubes for a colder, thicker smoothie.
Blend Until Smooth
  1. Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, or until all ingredients are completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides if necessary to ensure everything is incorporated.
Serve Immediately
  1. Pour the Strawberry Shortcake Healthy Oat Smoothie into a glass and serve immediately. Enjoy your healthy and delicious treat!

Notes

For a thinner smoothie, add a splash more milk. For a thicker smoothie, add a few more frozen strawberries or ice cubes. You can also toast the oats lightly before adding for a nuttier flavor, or soak them in the milk for 10 minutes prior to blending for an even creamier texture. Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice or a sprinkle of extra oats if desired.
