Ingredients

For the Crust
  • 1 each Graham cracker crust Store-bought or homemade.
For the Filling
  • 1 box Strawberry jello Can substitute with other fruit flavors.
  • 1 cup Boiling water For dissolving the jello.
  • 1/2 cup Cold water To cool down the jello mixture.
  • 2 cups Strawberries Fresh or frozen, sliced.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip Or homemade whipped cream.
  • Optional toppings Whipped cream or extra strawberries.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the crust by setting aside a pre-made graham cracker crust or making your own by crushing graham crackers, mixing with melted butter, and pressing into a pie dish. Let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the strawberry jello with boiling water and stir until fully dissolved, which usually takes just a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir in the cold water into the dissolved jello. Allow it to cool at room temperature for a few minutes, but don’t let it set.
  4. Gently fold the Cool Whip into the cooled jello mixture until well combined, ensuring the mixture stays light and fluffy.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries into the graham cracker crust. Pour the jello and Cool Whip mixture over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until set to allow all the flavors to meld wonderfully.
Serving
  1. Before serving, add extra whipped cream or whole strawberries on top for garnish.

Notes

Letting the jello cool slightly before folding in the Cool Whip prevents it from melting. Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and texture. Chill the pie well before serving for easier slicing.
