Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 racks spare ribs Look for meaty and well-trimmed racks. Baby back ribs work too.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade for the sticky coating.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can be substituted with vegetable oil.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances the natural flavor of the meat.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to your taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs if it's still attached.
  2. Rub the spare ribs with a drizzle of olive oil, followed by salt and pepper.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-low heat.
  2. Place the ribs on the grill over indirect heat. Close the lid and cook for about 2 to 2.5 hours, flipping every 30 minutes.
  3. When the ribs are nearly done, brush on a layer of BBQ sauce. Move the ribs to direct heat and grill for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning and brushing on more sauce.
Serving
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the ribs in BBQ sauce for a few hours or overnight before grilling. Keep an eye on the grill temperature to prevent burning and use a meat thermometer for best results.
