Prepare the Dill Cream Cheese
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, finely chopped fresh dill, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix thoroughly with a spatula or spoon until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Cook the Flatbreads
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). If using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly brush both sides of each flatbread with olive oil. This helps them get golden and slightly crispy.
- Place the flatbreads in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer). Cook for 4-6 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and slightly crisp. If using an oven, bake for 6-8 minutes on the prepared baking sheet.
Assemble the Flatbreads
- Once the flatbreads are cooked, carefully remove them from the air fryer or oven.
- Generously spread an even layer of the prepared dill cream cheese mixture over each warm flatbread.
- Artfully arrange the slices of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese spread.
- Scatter the thinly sliced red onion and drained capers over the smoked salmon.
- For an extra pop of flavor and texture, sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over each flatbread. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious breakfast flatbread!
Notes
For best results, make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing. You can substitute chives or green onions for dill if preferred. If you don't have an air fryer, an oven works perfectly well. Watch the flatbreads closely as cooking times can vary depending on thickness and equipment. These flatbreads are best enjoyed fresh.
