Preparation
- Start with clean, dry salmon fillets. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning with olive oil to create a flavorful paste.
- Rub the Cajun oil mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 5-6 minutes.
- Carefully flip and grill for another 3-4 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.
- In the last minute of cooking, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
Don’t overcook the salmon; aim for slightly pink in the center. Consider using a fish spatula to maintain the structure of the salmon while cooking. This dish pairs well with rice, potatoes, or salad.
