Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough starter, flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and tie into a knot.
- Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley. Brush over hot knots before serving.
Notes
These garlic knots are best served warm. You can double the batch for a larger crowd or freeze leftovers for later.
