Preparation
- Chop your onion and have all your toppings ready.
- Take a handful of ground beef and lightly form it into a ball. Don't pack it too tightly.
Cooking
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the beef balls onto the skillet and smash each ball down flat using a sturdy spatula.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the smashed patties immediately after smashing.
- Once browned (about 2-3 minutes), flip the burgers over and place a slice of cheese on top.
- Allow the cheese to melt for another minute.
- In the last few minutes, add slider buns cut-side down to the skillet until golden brown.
Assembly
- Place the cheesy burger on the bottom half of each bun and top with mustard, pickles, and onions.
- Add the bun top and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Cooked burger patties freeze well for up to a month.
