  • 1/2 cup Pickles Dill or bread-and-butter for sweetness; personal preference
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped raw onion or grilled; adds flavor and crunch
  • to taste Salt and pepper To enhance all the delicious flavors

Method

Preparation
  1. Chop your onion and have all your toppings ready.
  2. Take a handful of ground beef and lightly form it into a ball. Don't pack it too tightly.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a cast-iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the beef balls onto the skillet and smash each ball down flat using a sturdy spatula.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the smashed patties immediately after smashing.
  4. Once browned (about 2-3 minutes), flip the burgers over and place a slice of cheese on top.
  5. Allow the cheese to melt for another minute.
  6. In the last few minutes, add slider buns cut-side down to the skillet until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Place the cheesy burger on the bottom half of each bun and top with mustard, pickles, and onions.
  2. Add the bun top and enjoy!
