Prepare for Baking
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Assemble the Rolls
- Unroll the pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Using a rolling pin, gently roll it into a rectangle approximately 10x14 inches. If using rectangular dough, skip rolling and just stretch slightly.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the dough, leaving a small border (about 1/2 inch) around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the pepperoni.
- Starting from one of the longer sides, carefully and tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam closed to seal. Place the log seam-side down.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the log into 16 equal pieces, approximately 3/4-inch thick. Arrange the slices cut-side up on the parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Prepare Garlic Herb Butter
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried parsley, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Using a pastry brush, liberally brush the tops and sides of each pizza roll breadstick with the garlic herb butter mixture.
Bake and Serve
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Warm the marinara sauce if desired. Serve the pizza roll breadsticks warm with marinara for dipping.
Notes
For an extra cheesy crust, sprinkle a little more Parmesan cheese on top of the buttered rolls before baking. To use an air fryer, preheat to 350°F (175°C). Cook in batches, placing a single layer of rolls in the basket, for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, or until golden and cooked through. Cooking times may vary by air fryer model.
