Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Ripe peaches, chopped Fresh, juicy peaches are key. You can use frozen peaches if fresh ones aren’t available.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream This gives your ice cream its rich and creamy texture. Can substitute with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup Whole milk Whole milk works best for creaminess, but you can use any milk you prefer.
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar Adjust the amount based on the sweetness of your peaches.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Use pure for the best taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice A splash of lemon juice brightens up the flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel and pit the peaches, then chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, leaving some chunky bits if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Fold in the peach puree until well combined.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours.
Churning
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes.
  2. Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. Smooth the top and press a piece of parchment paper on the surface to prevent ice crystals.
  3. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Notes

Serve with toppings like crushed graham crackers, a drizzle of honey, or fresh sliced peaches. Can pair with warm peach cobbler.
