Preparation
- Peel and pit the peaches, then chop them into small pieces.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, leaving some chunky bits if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Fold in the peach puree until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours.
Churning
- Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. Smooth the top and press a piece of parchment paper on the surface to prevent ice crystals.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
Notes
Serve with toppings like crushed graham crackers, a drizzle of honey, or fresh sliced peaches. Can pair with warm peach cobbler.
