  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup butter melted but not hot; warm is ok
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk approximately 14 oz
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This cake is delicious on its own, but you can also top it with a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of chocolate, or fresh berries for added flavor.
