  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Use pure for best results
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder For leavening
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt To enhance sweetness
  • 2 cups Green apples Thinly sliced (Granny Smith works well)
For the chocolate dip
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Can use dark, milk, or white chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the sliced green apples until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Chocolate Dipping
  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip the bottom half of each blondie into the melted chocolate and return them to the wire rack to set.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For freezing, wrap individual blondies and place them in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
