  • 2 cans apple pie filling 21 oz each
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz box
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted

  • vanilla ice cream for serving
  • extra caramel drizzle for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread both cans of apple pie filling evenly in the baking dish.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apple filling.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top.
  5. Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix, trying to cover as much of the surface as possible.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with ice cream and a drizzle of caramel if desired.

Notes
