  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar Brown sugar can also be used for a deeper flavor.
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large Eggs Can use flax eggs for a vegan version.
  • 1 cup Milk Any milk alternative like almond or oat milk works well.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Can use almond extract for a different twist.
Add-ins
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries, diced Opt for fresh berries for the best flavor.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar To make the glaze.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk Adjust for desired consistency.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional, for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the diced strawberries gently to avoid overmixing.
Baking
  1. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about halfway.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow donuts to cool in the pan for around 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk and a little vanilla.
  2. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and allow it to set before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. These donuts can be frozen for up to 2 months. Make sure donuts are fully cooled before glazing to prevent the glaze from sliding off.
