- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, beat together melted butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently stir in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top before baking, or fold in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts.
