- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced onions with olive oil, salt, pepper, and cornstarch if using.
- Spread the onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving.

These crispy onions are excellent as a topping for burgers, casseroles, or salads.
