Ingredients
  

Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg large
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Apples
  • 1 apple peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
Glaze (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk adjust for consistency
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto parchment paper and place in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Flip halfway for even cooking.
  7. Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm fritters if desired.

Notes

These fritters are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a crispy texture.
